In 1996, with a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Indonesia, Zippora joined Lubis Ganie Surowidjojo, rising to Senior Associate. After nine years, and with a Master of Law degree, Zippora moved to Melli Darsa & Co., becoming a Partner in 2007.
From 2013 to 2016, Zippora counselled top-level officials in the Government of Indonesia in the legal assessment of bilateral international treaties and policies for governance and oversight of the oil-and-gas sector.
Zippora is registered as a capital market lawyer with the Indonesian Financial Authority Services (OJK), and is fully licensed to represent clients and appear in the Republic of Indonesia courts. Zippora is also registered as Fellow (FSiarb) of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators in Singapore.
Zippora was featured in Indonesia’s Top 100 lawyers in 2019, 2021, and 2022 as issued by the Asia Law Business Journal. Her professional recognitions include nominations for Woman Lawyer of the Year and Managing Partner of the Year by Asian Legal Business (ALB).
Zippora focuses on Banking and Finance, Infrastructure, Maritime, Healthcare, Project Energy, Corporate Governance, Restructuring and Insolvency, General Corporate, and M&A. In addition, Zippora also provides legal advice on the Capital Market aspects of financing and acquisition transactions.
Throughout her law practices, Zippora involved in many prestigious transactions, both representing local and foreign clients. She excels in handling and finding solution for complex legal matters, possesses solid legal knowledge and experience and is capable ofinterpreting the client’s concern to achieve smooth transaction processes. She often plays a significant role in negotiation to obtain favourable solutions.
Zippora is active in various organizations, including Board of committee of Indonesian Bar Association (PERADI).
