Barnabas Imam Setiyono supports the WH&SD litigation team. He is a licensed lawyer in Indonesia (PERADI/Indonesian Advocate Association) and was active in the National Police for almost three decades. Barnabas served as the Director of Detention and Evidence for the Metro Jaya Regional Police in Jakarta, with the rank of Police Senior Superintendent. He developed his expertise in investigating general and special crimes, while he was the chief of the Fiscal, Monetary, and Foreign Exchange Unit, and the Industry and Trade Investigation Unit. Both positions were under the Special Crimes Investigation Directorate. Barnabas was also the chief of the Property and Land Investigation Unit at the General Crimes Investigation Directorate of the Metro Jaya Regional Police.
During his service as a police officer, Barnabas was awarded the Bintang Bhayangkara Nararya medal from the President of Indonesia for his flawless devotion and service beyond the call of duty. In addition, he received an Extraordinary Promotion to Police Senior Superintendent from the President in recognition of his achievements.
Barnabas graduated from the Faculty of Law at Sebelas Maret University. He also received a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Indonesia and a master’s degree in Business Law from Gadjah Mada University.
